Richard Donley Fox - Memorial Fund

Donation protected

On July 21, 2016, Richard Donley Fox passed from time into eternity.  Please help us fund Richard's burial expenses and some memorial gifts to some of Richard's favorite works.  Also, please forward this Go Fund Me Link to any people who knew him.

Richard was not alone when he died.  We were with him.  Everyone who loved him, prayed for him, or cared for him was with him too.  He died knowing he was loved and appreciated!

There are so many questions because it happened so very fast.  Here is what we have pieced together medically.   At the begining of July, Richard apparently suffered serval mini strokes, and he ended up in the hospital.  At that time, he was also diagnosed with diabetes for the first time.  After being discharged for a few days, Richard was taken back to the hospital on July 9th.  In his weakened state, he contracted a blood infection that went to his heart.  Between the heart infection, the mini strokes, and the diabetes, Richard's body eventually started shutting down.

Just two days before he died, Richard was speaking of getting well.  However, he then took a turn for the worse and his body began to shut down.

The last day of Richard's life is reflective of his love and devotion to his friends, community, neighbors, clients, and family.  Thursday, he was visited by so many friends (both new and old), Philomena friends, Arcosanti friends, Rosary friends, Business friends, Neighbor friends, Priest friends.  Friends that rocked gospel music at his bed side and friends that prayed the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy with him.  Although many of his friends were not able to see him before he passed, Richard knew you were all with him.

We filled his room with sacred music and waited as his body shut down.  He was peaceful and spiritually ready as he took his last breath.

The nurses said "he must have been amazing to have so many different visitors".   As we all know, he was.

We are working on a funeral date of August 11 or 12 and will post on his facebook when we have all the details worked out.  There will be a Funeral Mass at Saint Mary's Basilica and a Memorial Celebration of Life following the Mass just down the street at Robert Miley's Release The Fear.

Please recall your favorite Richard story and bring it with you to share or post it to his Facebook page.

Unfortunately, Richard was not at all prepared with the logistics of his passing, so we are busy putting the pieces together for his service.

We would greatly appreciate any way that you can help financially.  If we collect more money than is needed to cover the related expenses, the funds will be distributed as a memorial gift to the following groups Richard cared so deeply for:

Arcosanti
Release The Fear
St Philomena Sanctuary & Universal Living Rosary
Mary Gardens

Peace and Blessings,
