AURORA MOURNS THE LOSS OF TRE WINFREY, COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS NEEDED
On August 16, 1989, a young Leo was born to leave an indelible mark on his community and world. We watched him grow up with a bright smile, brilliant mind, and bold sense of life.
On March 2, 2007, as he concluded his senior year at East Aurora High School, at just 17 years old, Tre’s life changed forever when he became the innocent victim of a drive-by shooting that left him a quadriplegic. For 18 years, he was an example of a lion's strength and resilience, always with a smile and never complaining.
On September 18, 2025, we said goodbye to a beloved son, brother, and friend whose smile and spirit touched us all.
‼️CALL TO ACTION: COMMUNITY SUPPORT NEEDED
Tre’s mother, Rita, and family are covering all funeral costs out of pocket, as Tre was uninsurable due to his condition. Let’s unite as a community to honor Tre’s life with the dignity he deserves. No gift is too small, and every contribution will help lighten this heavy burden.
