A huge piece of my heart is gone on the 14th of May the Angles took my baby. As Richards parents we were always proud of his accomplishments. With all his ups and downs he always tried hard to make his life better even during his hardest times.
Richard was always there to make us laugh and put a smile on his face even when he was down. It gave him great joy to make us happy. He knew how to put a smile on anyone's face and would make someone's day just by greeting them with a "hello beautiful".
As a child, Rich enjoyed playing his drums, baseball for North End, and learning Karate. Much to his mother's dismay and father's joy Richard was a NY Jet's fan. He always enjoyed vacations with his family in Ocean City, Maryland. He loved spending time on the beach riding the waves, Boogie boarding with his brother Ryan and his father Bob while mom watched from the sand. Richard and Ryan would play manhunt with all the neighborhood kids. Richard always enjoyed summer cookouts and swimming in the pool. In high school Richard began working at Patte's Sports Bar and continued to work there after he graduated high school in 2005. He also worked for Harden's Improvements.
In early 2008 Richard joined the United States Marine Corp. He graduated on May 9th, 2008 in Paris Island, SC Platoon 3037. He was stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC where he resided with is with his wife Meghan Galbraith and their beautiful daughter Reilly.
In the last couple of years Richard found his passion in life cutting hair with a straight edge razor and boy did he do some really nice work. Some of his favorite cuts were challenging and unique designs, from an Adidas logo all the way down to Spider-Man. One of Richards more recent accomplishments was using his trade to raise money for two families dealing with tragedy during a 48-hour hair cutting marathon in July 2020.
To all the family and friends that have stood by Rich whether it was a place to sleep, a ride, picking up the phone at all hours of the night, or any other ways you've helped him we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We want to thank anyone who is able to donate to help cover funeral and memorial costs. Any remaining money will be given to Richard's daughter Reilly for college and future expenses.
