Who this will help

This fundraiser is to help support my parents, Richard and Suzanne. Richard has been diagnosed with abdomen cancer and has begun chemotherapy treatments. Suzanne is also a cancer survivor and has been in remission for several years now.

Why I'm fundraising

It is a challenge to upkeep the house during dad's treatments. My mother is not supposed to do certain chores around the house due to her compromised immune system from her cancer treatments. Dad had been doing these chores for the past several years but is recently unable to because of his own cancer treatments. I would like to have a house keeping service come bi-weekly to help them. They have always had a very clean and tidy house. I would like to maintain that environment for them as it was critical for my mother surviving her cancer treatments in the past.

The impact of your support

These funds will be used specifically to help them with keeping the house clean. This will be a huge stress relief for them and ensure they have a safe and clean environment to maximize dad's recovery. Having the funds to provide for a house keeping service would mean the world to me. I was able to do this myself when I lived near them in Georgia during mom's chemo treatments. However, now that I live on the other side of the country, this was the best option I could provide to assist them.
