Rick Morris was a devoted father, husband, artist, author, and friend.
His death this week from a heart attack was sudden and devastating to us all . . . but that loss is nothing compared to the loss felt by Rick's wife and children.
While we can't take away their pain, we can ease the financial burden they are experiencing from this sudden tragic loss.

Richard Scott Morris, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Sunday, May 19, 2019. He was born on November 12, 1958, in Tipton to Teddy Joseph and Doris E. (Jackson) Morris.
Rick was a Tipton High School graduate, and went on to attend Anderson University, The University of Cincinnati, and Herron School of Art & Design. Rick married his high school sweetheart, Cheri Laine (Duke) Morris on June 28, 1980, and the two of them enjoyed nearly 39 years of marriage.
Rick was always the life of the party. He had a unique ability to find a common interest with anyone he met. His loving, goofy, intelligent, creative and curious spirit was an inspiration to all who encountered him. He loved animals especially his chihuahua, Pepperoncini.
Rick’s love of Native American history and culture permeated his life. He had a passion for gathering and collecting stone artifacts. Rick was a vivacious reader. He loved historical fiction and fantasy novels. He especially loved The Lord of the Rings which he read at least a handful of times. Rick had a passion for music that he shared with his son Jonathan. He loved to play the guitar and wrote his own songs. Richard Scott Morris was a proud follower of Christ. He was highly knowledgeable of scripture and freely shared God’s love with all who met him.
While Rick was an extraordinarily talented man in many aspects, he will be especially remembered as a gifted artist (a legacy carried on by his daughter, Jessica). Rick was a caricature artist, an illustrator, a published author of children’s books, a puppeteer, a voice actor, an art educator, and he worked as an artist in residence at libraries and schools across the Mid-west.
Rick’s puppet, Drew the Doodly Zoink, entertained decades worth of children with scribble drawings and of coarse Rick’s signature humor. Rick drew thousands of caricatures over his 40 years as a caricaturist that hang in homes all across the world.
Rick also had his own TV show in the early 90’s, The Wacky Morning Cartoon Club on WMCC-TV23. Rick worked his entire life to promote the value of art and creativity to children. Without question Richard Scott Morris left his mark on this world. He will live on through the artwork he created and the countless lives he touched. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
