Richard "Tut" Carter Needs Your Help
Donation protected
Richard “Tut” Carter suffered a life-threatening fall which resulted in a severe spinal injury. After months of hospital care & rehabilitation, Richard is finally ready to come home; however, we need your help to transform our house into a handicap accessible home.
Richard, affectionately known as "Brotha Tut," is a member of the Human Rights Coalition which represents Pennsylvania prisoners and their families. He is also the President of HRC-Chester and Secretary of the Philadelphia Coalition of Ex-Offenders Support Groups. As a Criminal Justice student at Widener University where he was pursuing a Master's Degree in Juvenile Justice, Richard plans to implement both alternative, preventive and remedial programs for at-risk youth and his fellow Veterans.
Brotha Tut is an honorable decorated Vietnam Veteran War Hero who has dedicated his life to prison reform and the empowerment of African American youth. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us make our house handicap accessible so that we can bring Richard home in the New Year.
The preparatory work will include the following: a tree removal to provide easy access to the lift that will be installed, repaving of the sidewalk that the tree occupied, excavation and paving of the front yard, and installation of an elevated cement block for the vertical lift. Also, if you know anyone that can provide cement or tree removal work, that will be helpful as well. The funds are needed by January 10, 2019 to start work by January 15, 2019.
Thanking you all in advance for your support! Please share with your network!
