Close to 5 years ago, Richard Pina was diagnosed with Stage IV colon and liver cancer. The cancer was so severe that his colon was almost completely blocked and his liver had too many tumors to even count. The surgeon gave Richard 6-9 months to live at best. Through the love and support of all of his friends and family and his strong will to live he was able to overcome many medical battles including multiple bouts of heavy duty chemotherapy, cyber knife radiation, radioactive bead placement, partial colon removal, and immunotherapy. Several weeks ago, Richard was informed by his oncologist that his labs were not looking good but there was still hope. Richard fought valiantly for the love of his friends and family despite these odds. On June 7th, Richard passed perfectly into heaven, cancer free. Throughout these 5 years of fighting for his life, Richard & his family have accumulated medical debt and are in need of financial help.
