I am struggling to know how to write the following post so forgive me if I just go for it.
On Tuesday one of my friends Richard Phillips died in a tragic road accident on the way to work. He was a young man who I got to know through table top gaming and through my time having coffee in the John Peel cafe. This year he had just found his soul mate Sarah Mays and they moved to Sturminster so it was even more devastating for his family (both new and natural.)
A number of us in the community want to help the family during this difficult time and are hoping to establish a fund to help with the funeral expenses. Richard worked at the John Peel cafe in Shaftesbury and Derek Beer is happy to receive donations to this fund. If you knew Richard and would like to make a donation please give it to Derek or message me privately and I can arrange to forward it to the fund.
