Richard “Mr. Rich” Borowiec's Family Fund

Donation protected
Richard J. Borowiec, the most selfless of men, unexpectedly passed away on April 7th, 2024. Born August 9th, 1977, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from humble beginnings. Richard consistently defied the odds of what was believed possible by others around him, and he carried this rule-defying characteristic with him everywhere he went.

Richard spent the last 22 years in faithful service as “Mr. Rich,” the facilities director at St. Genevieve School and Parish. When you understood Rich, the connection formed defined the conventional boundaries of a friend and coworker, encompassing what it meant to be selfless, dedicated, compassionate, and humorous. Richard loves the Jersey Shore, Clearwater, Florida, Philadelphia sports, and mostly, his family. If something couldn't be fixed, “Mr. Rich” found a way. While serving as “Mr. Rich” within the local community, Richard held his proudest positions as a role model, caretaker, provider, husband, and “Dad” for his family, his wife Jennifer of 25 years, and his son, Tyler Borowiec, age 22, both of whom Richard would have done anything for. For his family, Richard consistently sacrificed things he needed, his own health, and interests, putting his wife and son's needs above anything else in the world.

Friends and family are invited to attend his memorial services on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 9-10AM at St. Genevieve Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031. All are invited to participate in the Funeral Mass at 10AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. John F Murray Funeral Home has been graciously entrusted with arranging the funeral services. The Borowiec family encourages others to share fond memories, stories, and condolences so that we may all come together to celebrate the individual who allowed others’ celebrations to occur.

Rich's ultimate wish was to see his son, Tyler, complete his education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Funds donated will be allocated to maintaining home ownership, tuition, and stability during this time of grief.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to support the family in their time of loss.
