Richard Motes Jr. has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is in the beginning stages of scheduling tumor removal surgery with chemotherapy to follow the surgery.
Their doctor has estimated that Richard has had the tumor approximately two years, thus surgery is imperative, and needs to be done quickly. Even now, symptoms are worsening and they have been unable to find a surgeon who will take him on as a patient, due to the fact that he has no health insurance.
Richard and Sallie Motes have given their entire life to ministry. Richard is a minister and pastor of the highest caliber; the couple just celebrated their 5th pastoral anniversary pastoring United Pentecostal Church of Weches in Weches, Texas this May. They have always trusted the Lord in every situation and lived by faith their entire lives.
While their faith is strong, surgery and cancer treatment are very expensive, especially when one does not have health insurance. The Motes are relying on God to provide for their needs physically, and financially.
Richard and his wife Sallie have 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, and 4 grandchildren with a new granddaughter due to be born mid-November. Their family and their church family loves them dearly.
Please help us pray that a surgeon will take him as a patient quickly. Please pray that the surgery will go well, and that complete healing will be accomplished. Please pray for Richard and Sallie, that they would have the peace of God surrounding them throughout this process, and that fear, anxiety, panic, and depression would have no hold on them. Please pray encouragement over them, and when you think of them, speak life over them.
