Richard McGhee Family

December 14, 2017 Rich McGhee passed into eternity. We did not know that it was his time, however the Lord did. He passed peacefully in his sleep and is now in Heaven.

Rich and I have been friends since Junior High. He has walked thru every part of life with me, I will miss him so much. He was a better friend than I deserved. The Bible says "there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother", and though it referred to Jesus, it completely describes my friendship with Rich. We did life together! I will never forget you old friend, and look forward to seeing you one day in Heaven.

His huge heart and dedication to his family and friends will be irreplaceable and greatly missed.  If Rich knew you, then you were part of his inner circle. He loved everyone dearly and was always communicating thru facebook, phone calls and going to the different celebrations as a way to keep in touch and up to date on all of our lives.

Rich’s smile and sense of humor will stay with us forever. I hope that you will all be able to set aside some time to reflect on the memories that you have shared over the years.  I have some funnly stories I could share.  Knowing Rich, I think that’s what he would want.

On another note, I'd like to ask that each of you please keep his family in your prayers.  His wife Missy, daughter Shannon and Katie were the loves of his life! Please pray for God's peace and provision.

As you must know, an unexpected death can leave the family with a lot of expenses. Rich has been disabled for several years due to multiple knee surgeries, and as of recent, a bypass surgery. Missy has been doing her best to meet the families needs by picking up the slack best she can by working 2 jobs, baking the best pastries and cakes you have ever tasted for friends and others, as well as being caretaker for Rich, and mom to two daughters.  Her plate is full.

I can tell you as one who recently went thru this with the loss of a family member, the expenses can be substantial, and I just feel as one of Rich's oldest friends that we can, and should, come alongside his family and make a contribution to help them transition into a life without Rich, if that's possible.

So, If your life was touched or enriched by this great man, will you join me and my family by making the most generorous dontation possible in memory of Rich, and all that he has meant to each of us.

I have placed a goal of $5,000.00, but if it happened to go over, I know it would be a huge blessing to this wonderful family. Just think, that is only 100 people giving $50 ea.. Some can give more, some can give less, but all can give some!

Also feel free to post on his FB wall your memories, pictures and fondest thoughts concerning Rich, this will be a blessing to the family and friends.  I am sure Missy will memorialize his page in order to have it forever.
