Richard Liebson Journalism Scholarship Fund 2025

We created this scholarship fund in memory of Richard Liebson, a longtime reporter at The Journal News who dedicated his life to covering his community. The fund will be administered through the White Plains City School District to ensure his legacy as a journalist and mentor to young writers.

All the proceeds will go toward the scholarship which will be presented to at least one student at White Plains High School who intends on pursuing a career in journalism. We hope to raise enough money to give $1000 or more for many years to come.
