Hi, I’m Ashleigh. My husband, Richard, is fighting stage IV colorectal cancer, and the decline in his health has been so rapid it still feels unreal some days. What used to be “someday” worries are now part of our daily lives—appointments, procedures, unexpected emergencies, and the weight of medical bills.
Through it all, Richard is still “Dad” to our five-year-old daughter, Leighton. She doesn’t fully understand words like cancer or late-stage, but she understands when her daddy can’t get out of bed, or when he’s too tired to play. What we want more than anything is to give her memories filled with love and laughter, not fear and stress.
That’s why we’re asking for help. Not because we want pity, but because easing the financial strain means we can focus on what truly matters: spending time together, creating moments that Leighton will hold in her heart forever.
If you’re able to give, please know your support goes directly toward making space for those moments. And if giving isn’t possible, sharing this page or sending us encouragement means just as much.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking alongside us.
With love and gratitude,
Ashleigh, Richard & Leighton
