Richard sadly passed away 21st June 2025. I am helping Richard's widow raise money for a memorial bench, which we hope will be placed outside Coten End Primary School. Richard worked as a school crossing patrol for 10 years at Coten End and loved his job. Upon the wishes of his widow, and with the support of members of the community, we are hoping to raise money to purchase and install a new bench with a plaque, in his memory. Donations are welcomed from those who remember him. Any additional funds will be donated to a charity of his wife's choice.

The bench outside Coten End Primary School has now been renovated and beautifully painted by Tim at Brink Arts and with design ideas from the children at Coten End Primary School. The inaugural bench ceremony, in remembrance of Richard, will take place on Thursday 14th May at 2.15pm. Please do come along.

Thank you, Mandy L
