On Friday, September 18th,  my husband suffered a stroke while in his hotel room before work in San Jose. A co-worker called to see why he was late and he said he couldn’t see and was having double vision.  He was told to call his wife and while on the phone with me the San Jose Police Department and the ambulance showed up at his hotel room and soon realized he was having a stroke. They transported him to the local hospital (2.5 hours from home.) While there,  he hadIssues with his heart rate dropping 40 bpm in a 15 min window, which lead to a temporary pacemaker being put in for a couple days to monitor things.  He then had a pulmonary embolism, so they gave him medicine to thin out his blood to prevent the clotting... Then Thursday evening he went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the OR where they found his heart cavity had filled up with blood (most likely from his blood being too thin) They are currently trying to find a way to thin his blood without causing his heart rate to drop or another stroke.

On a good note:  He can talk, move all
his arms and legs and has even taken a few steps. We have been told there is some
brain damage and kidney damage, we just aren’t sure the extent of it yet.

He looks really good and is still
joking around and making everyone laugh but he’s very confused.  Please help us by praying for him and his doctors. We need him in our lives.

So many people have been sending prayers and asking if they could help financially. We are a very proud family but I finally took my children’s advice and will except any help  for the leftover medical bills that we will be receiving.

When he gets strong enough they plan on transferring him back to Sacramento to a acute rehab center and I was told to expect him to be there for a few weeks.  Our family is so broken  and because of Covid, we can’t go and see him but thank God they allow us to FaceTime him! Someone in my family will add updates.  Thank you so much for all your support, he is very loved!
