Donate to help Richard and his cats go home
Hi, my name is Richard. I'm a 40-year-old Canadian man who has lived in the UK for the last ten years. In the previous ten years, I have developed several mental and physical disabilities that make my day-to-day difficult. I suffer from type 2 diabetes, depression and anxiety, and during the Covid lockdown, I was diagnosed with agoraphobia. My friends are few and far between in the UK, so I have decided that moving home to be with my family is the best for my mental and physical health.
I started this gofundme to help with the costs of moving from the UK to Canada. I currently work full time, earning the UK's "Living Wage," but that barely keeps the lights on from month to month. Like the vast majority of the populace, I live from paycheck to paycheck. I don't have much saved, so I'm asking for donations to help get my three babies and me back to Nova Scotia (home of the donair, check it out.)

Your donations will mainly go towards the costs of moving the cats. One cat in the cabin is £65, two cats in the cargo bay are £170 each, and the cost of their "export cats and dogs to Canada: certificate 2923" is £186 each. The process is very expensive, but these three have been my only friends for the last four years, and I would do anything not to give them up. To help offset these costs, I am selling my guitar and bass. These two instruments are how I make money on the side as I am a semi-professional musician. Anything extra will go towards getting back on my feet after I land in the Great White North. If you can't afford to donate anything, I got you, this world is harsh, and you need to look out for number one. If you can't donate, please consider sharing this with your friends.
Thank you for listening to my story.
