Richard Blizzard

Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend...he is many things to those of us who know and love him.  My dad, Richard Blizzard, is a hard working man who is trying to keep ends met.  This year has posed a lot of big hurdles for him including battling a serious bout of Covid this spring, a roll-over semi accident one month ago and this week he passed out and took a serious hit to the head as he fell.  After tests were done,  the neurosurgeon has identified that he has a fractured C2 vertebrae, severe tendon damage around the C2 area as well as an 80% blockage in the artery on the left side of his neck.  Surgery will be needed to pin and plate multiple vertebrae to eliminate the possibility of damaging or severing the spinal cord in the injured area because the risk for paralyzation is great without the protection of hardware.  

Papa has been trying so hard to keep afloat financially.  The recovery time from this procedure looks to be at least 6 weeks.  That means 6 weeks out of work.  This fundraiser is to help my dad with expenses during that time.  This year has wiped out savings and reserves for him with everything he has faced.
