Anyone that knows Rich knows that he doesn’t often ask for help but, this time he needs it.

Rich spent many years working as an Industrial Electrician, in October 2019 he gave it up to move to Alaska and start a new chapter in his life. Rich now works for Alaska Resource Group, plowing snow and whatever else the day brings.

On July 13,2021 Rich married Shasta. They’ve been super happy together because Shasta took him halibut fishing.

Rich is one of the hardest working, most generous men that I have ever known.

In June of 2022 Rich started to not feel himself, after many doctor visits and tests Rich was admitted to the hospital where he was diagnosed with liver failure and stage 4 chronic kidney disease. Over the past few months his condition has gotten worse and on January 10th he was admitted to Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. On January 21st he was medivacced to University of Washington hospital in Seattle where he remains doing testing and procedures to ready him for a second liver transplant and this time a kidney transplant too. Rich and Shasta have a long road to recovery ahead of them. Once Rich is placed on the transplant list and a donor is found, they will need to remain in Seattle for 3 months after the transplant for follow up appointments.
