In loving memory of Richard Baxter and in heartfelt support of Vicki, Madi & Lottie.
It’s with huge sadness that we acknowledge the news of the passing of Richard Baxter, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after a cruelly short illness. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and unwavering love – most especially for his wife Vicki and two daughters, Lottie and Madi who he was hugely proud of.
Richard was the kind of person you never forgot once you met him. Whether he was passionately cheering from the sidelines, cracking a cheeky joke, enquiring on your week or offering words of encouragement, he always made things brighter.
Though he enjoyed a long and successful career- his real passion was family. His life revolved around his girls, and through their sporting journeys, Richard became a well known familiar face across the local netball community and beyond. From King’s School to KWP, Manchester Thunder, Nottingham Forest, and Cheshire County, Richard wasn’t just a dad in the stands – he was a scorer, commentator, sponsor, organiser, and all-round cheerleader. His support was boundless, and his presence was part of the fabric of the local netballing world .
Now, as everyone takes stock and tries to come to terms with this tragic loss, we are rallying together to support the people he loved most.
This page is set up to raise funds for Richard’s family, hopefully to help ease the burden in some small way during this incredibly difficult time. We want to honour his memory in a way that reflects the warmth so many of us had for him.
So.. if Richard ever made you laugh, encouraged you, enquired about your family, or shared a sideline chat with you, please consider donating.
Let’s come together and show his family just how many lives he touched.
With love and thanks
