Richard Albert Tam, Sr., Forever in Our Hearts

Dear Friends and Families,

It is with a heavy heart we share the announcement of the loss of a great friend, devoted father, best brother, and beloved son. Our friend, Richard Albert Tam, Sr., was a victim of a hit-and-run car accident in Sacramento, CA., which ended his life on August 20, 2022; Richard was 48 years old when he passed away.

For those who were lucky enough to know Richard, you know Richard was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. He was always thinking of others and what he could do for them or how he could help them. Richard's smile and personality was infectious to all those around him. Richard was blessed in many ways, with one wonderful blessing of becoming a father to Richard Albert Tam, Jr. Being a good father and role model to Richard Jr. was very important to Richard Sr. Unfortunately, Richard's ability to enjoy life would be impacted due to an unfortunate accident. In 2005, Richard suffered an aneurysm while driving on the road; this injury left Richard with a long-term impact. Our loved ones never quite fully-recover from these brain injuries. For the last 17 years, Richard has lived in constant struggle trying to get back to the person he used to be prior to his aneurysm. Even living through and within this chaos, Richard was always happy to see and visit with people. Richard lived his life through faith and was often found visiting churches in the Sacramento region. We are deeply saddened by Richard's passing.

As you can imagine, Richard's death was sudden and the financial burden that comes along with a proper funeral service and burial can be stressful. If you know Richard, his family, or inspired by his story, I hope you will consider donating to this fundraiser for his family. Please know that no amount is too small and every single donation will be a blessing to Richard and his family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our sweet Richard. Whether you are able to donate or not, it means the world to us that you took time out of your life to learn about Richard and his story. Richard was a special kind of human being and there will never be another one like him. You can rest now Richard; we love you so much.

Forever and Always,
