Richard Albagli Medical Relief Fund

I am fundraising to help my former percussion teacher and mentor, Richard Albagli. On January 29, 2024, Richard suffered a stroke and was admitted to Albany Med. While he is currently recovering and surrounded by friends and family, we all know the financial toll that hospital and recovery care can take. For those of us involved with Empire State Youth Orchestra, Richard or Rich, as he is known by his friends and colleagues, has shaped and guided several generations of young percussionists. His tireless dedication to percussion, education and entertainment has made an indelible mark on the music world. His former students can be found in the worlds best concert halls, in Broadway pit orchestras and even at the Grammy’s. You name a big city and I’ll bet you’ll find a Richard Albagli student making a living as a musician. He inspired so many of us and taught us how to truly love music. It is now our turn to support our mentor. Please give whatever you can to make sure that Rich will continue to inspire the next generation of percussionists and music lovers.
