Larger than life, Rich Sikes, unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind his three beautiful girls, granddaughter, two cherished dogs, endless collection of Giants merchandise, and a lifetime of memories. Many friends and family are left mourning the shock of losing Rich. We are all in disbelief, as we thought he would be with us forever.
Born in Fairfield, California, he stayed loyal to his beloved Bay Area teams: San Francisco Giants, 49ers, and Warriors. His daily outfit was never complete without his orange Giants lanyard. He loved both sports and music and knew more about the subjects than experts. He had connections to any celebrity, musician, or athlete you could think of. “I know a guy…” he would start each story. He could talk to anyone about anything, and as we know Rich, he did. Rich was anything but quiet, and that is how he lived his life. Always family first, unapologetic about who he was, and living his life to the fullest, enjoying the real things.
A single father to his girls, they were his entire world. As we miss Rich, we want to help his precious girls: Jessica, Rachael, and Jacqueline with the burden of memorial costs for their father. His three young daughters are all under the age of 25, and we would like to raise funds for their father’s celebration of life, as well as something to help them towards this new chapter of their lives without their father.
Rich is preceded in death by his dearest mother Shirley, and younger brother Raymond, who passed just less than a year ago. He was truly heartbroken about the loss of his baby brother Ray and always knew he would one day be reunited with him… we all had no idea that one day would be so soon.
He is survived by his three daughters, granddaughter, four siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins, many friends who thought of him as family, and those who looked up to him as a father figure.
The world is a lot less bright without you. We will always miss your one of a kind humor, voice, stories, singing, trivia, generosity, help, and most of all, love. Your legacy will always be remembered. We love you, Rich. Please protect our family and look over us as you did in your lifetime.
