Life changes in a blink of an eye! Rich had just purchased a small house with 4 acres and a fenced backyard for him and his 3 small children (ages 4,3, and 1) . His first weekend in his house was Easter weekend and he was thrilled that he was able to have and Easter egg hunt for his kids in his own backyard. His life revolved around taking care of his precious children. Driving home the following Thursday, he lost control of his vehicle on the winding, wet road to his house and went into ditch . His Explorer hit a culvert and rolled over. Rich was airlifted to the University of Missouri hospital. He had shattered his C4 vertebrae and is currently on a breathing machine. He has been heavily sedated for the past 4 weeks with little progress. He has battled pneumonia and staph infection. Rich is still not stable enough to have surgery on his neck.
Rich works at Optic Armor. His colleagues wish to raise funds to pay for items that insurance doesn't cover. House payments, items for his children, and medical expenses are just a few of the items that we hope to help with.
