Hi everyone,

Most of you who know me have had the opportunity to get to know my amazing, supportive parents, Rich & Linda Hyatt.

A few months ago my dad was having a hard time swallowing and was rushed to emergency. They found out that he had throat cancer, and weeks later he started radiation and chemotherapy to stop the spread. This made him unable to work.

My dad is a tile setter, and it has been his passion to remodel houses. He takes massive pride in his work. He is the sole provider of the household and works for himself. We were all unaware that he needed to pay special insurance to get financial help during this difficult time while he is out of work. Derek and I have done everything we can do financially. We have now used all our outlets to try and find finances to help them. It will be months before my dad can go back to work. Bills are starting to pile up, house payments are due, and I'm terrified they will have to do something extreme to keep a roof over their head.

It is extremely humbling and very upsetting to even have to ask, but some wonderful people have asked my parents how they could help.
