Rich Henry Stroke Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On June 20th Rich suffered 2 strokes that affected his cerebellum and brain stem. Within the first 24 hours of being in the hospital he underwent 3 brain surgeries; 2 of which to remove clots plus install stents and balloons, then the third one to remove part of his skull on the back of his head to allow for swelling. He also had a tracheotomy and a feeding tube put in place during his stay at Swedish Medicical Center. He spent a few weeks in Swedish's Neuro ICU before being transferred to Kindred long term acute care hospital inside of Porter hospital. While at Kindred they were successful at weaning him off of the ventilator. He still currently has the trach and feeding tube in place.
Rich has lead a very active life with honor, loyalty, and committment to his community. His honor bellows through all of his dedication, protection, and service from Vietnam to his family. He is a father, grandfather, husband, Retired K9 Officer, Firefighter, EMT-B IV and friend. He has spent his life giving with such generosity. This is a call for support during his recovery so that he may return to his family and community in order to continue his legacy.
All donations will be used to help pay for medical bills that Medicare won't cover, as well as rehabilitation expenses not covered.
