Continue Treatment for Rich

Hello, my name is Carissa Terhaar and my family and I are fundraising for my brother Rich Grisanti. In May of 2022, an MRI was taken and unexpectedly showed a tumor in Rich’s brain. Within a few months he began to show cognitive symptoms and in September 2022, most of the tumor was successfully removed. However, because of its location doctors had to leave a small portion of the tissue in his brain, resulting in Gamma knife radiation treatment.

In spring of 2023, a rare and complex side effect known as Radiation Necrosis was the result of a high-dose of radiation, that damaged the surrounding tissue. Though a devastating diagnosis, Rich is currently undergoing treatment and cognitive therapies to improve his quality of life and continues to make slow and steady progress. This life altering diagnosis combined with the financial stresses prove to be overwhelming in an already profound situation.
