
Rich Bonsey Hawks Walking Football Festival 2022

The Hawks Walking Football club was formed in September 2016 with just 4 players and has now grown to more than 65 members ranging in age from just over 50 to 84 years of age. We play 3 times a week at the Havant and Waterlooville Football Club (Conference League South) 3G pitch and enter teams into county and national FA tournaments. The club are holding a number of fundraising events culminating in a walking football festival on 29 May 2022 to raise money which will be split equally among 5 local charities.
The day will be held in honour of Rich Bonsey who was a very enthusiastic and inspirational early member of the club who sadly passed away from cancer in 2017. The charities to be supported are

1) Rowans Hospice provide free care and support to adults in our community who have a life-limiting illness and their families.
2) Hannahs appeal support children with cancer and life limiting diseases by providing quality breaks for them and their families.
3) Chestnut Tree House provide hospice care services and community support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
4) British Heart Foundation funds research into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them.
5) Snows Mission 60 is an initiative by Snows to raise money for 6 local charities
