For Dan & Angie Rice

A few weeks ago, our lives changed dramatically. Dan Rice, Nick’s dad, became very ill and had to be admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery. During the surgery, his doctors made a devastating discovery: the disease that we all secretly fear. Dan was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Those of you whose lives have been touched by cancer, understand what a heartbreaking diagnosis this is.

Originally, this gofundme was set up to help Nick and I move back to Indiana, to be with our family there and to help out with whatever needs may arise. You all showered us with an overwhelming display of love and support and we surpassed our original goal, within a few hours. Nick and I have what we need to cover our moving costs and we want to give the extra money that was raised, to Angie and Dan. 

We have decided to leave the site up for a while longer. Any further donations will go to Angie and Dan to help shoulder the cost of the unexpected medical bills that have come up so far, but also to help alleviate the burden of expenses that will be coming, as Dan starts his chemo treatments.
