Rice Foundation Medical Mission Trip Honduras
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
On January 23rd through February 1st I will be traveling to Copan Honduras on a medical and construction mission trip with The Rice Foundation. Our team from my church will be going to Honduras to provide medical care, construction and outreach to children and orphanages in the local villages. Our church has partnered with the Rice Foundation for several years and trips like ours have provided care, laughter, joy, hope and faith to many people in need.
While I am honored to be a part of this trip I am also anxious to leave behind Erik and the kids while I travel to a foreign country for 9 days. I would love your prayers for safety, health and also for this Mama's heart because I know I will be missing my babies. Pray too for Erik, Ford and June as they navigate through 9 days without me (mostly for Erik). This trip is taking me way outside my comfort zone, but I know that I will leave Honduras having received more than I will have given, and gain an even greater appreciation for this life that God has blessed me with!
I am also raising $2500 to cover the cost of the trip, immunizations and medications required to travel to Honduras and provide medical care. Any money I raise above my goal will go towards medical supplies, construction supplies and other needs in Honduras. Please find the link to my GoFundMe page below if you are interested in supporting me. In addition to raising money I will also be traveling with an extra suitcase with supplies needed for the children of Copan Honduras that we will be serving. If you are interested in donating any supplies most of these items can be found on Amazon and you can ship directly to me. Here is a list of the needed supplies:
Soccer Cleats and Socks: all sizes (can be used items)
Flip Flops: all sizes (can be used items)
Dresses and Backpacks (can be used items)
Coloring books and crayons
Bubbles
Children's multi-vitamins (no gummies)
Children's Acetaminophen
Infant Vitamin Suspensions
Children's Ibuprofen
I am truly humbled that I get to be a part of this mission and am so incredibly grateful for you prayers and support. I will for sure be taking lots of pictures and will send out an email after my trip!
Love,
Lyndsey
