As of March 26, 2017 Ricardo's cremation expenses are completely paid! Thanks you do much for the support. However, as of right now we need to cover the last home stretch: his final resting place. My family and I have chosen a niche in Cypress Lawn where we could place his ashes. The total cost is about $6,500. We are struggling to cover these expenses and would appreciate any more help from family and friends!
On February 15, 2017 my brother Ricardo Rene Martos passed away at the age of 27. Due to the fact that this was not only completely unexpected but so sudden, my family cannot possibly afford to cover all the funeral expenses. Although I am not one to ask for assistance, I need to do what is best for my family's financial situation.
We need help covering:
Funeral/Cremation fees (includes embalming, viewing etc.)
Casket cost
Urn cost/Placement
Medical Examiners fees
Flights costs (family flying in from Bahrain & Texas)
Hotel costsFood costs
Plaque/Headstone
& other unexpected expenses
Ricky is not only my Partner in Crime, but the person whom I love most in the world. Growing up without a father, Ricky took the role seriously. He taught me how to ride a bike, helped me study for exams, gave me the wildest life advice, encouraged me to apply to University of California Berkeley, and was/is all in all my best friend. I didn't just lose my brother but I lost my father too. I'm at a loss for words at the moment. Any help/donation is appreciated.
