Ricardo Roche Idini´s Fundraiser for Honours
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Ricardo Roche Idini, and I am a devoted Classical Pianist. I am reaching out to you today to seek your support for my upcoming Honours year in Music at The University of Melbourne.
At the age of 5, I commenced my piano learning with local teachers from Chile. In my early teenage years, I made the tough decision to move to another city away from my family, and to pursue music as a career. The pivotal moment in my career was when I travelled to Easter Island at the age of 15 to study with Mahani Teave, a renowed pianist who recongised my potential and encouraged me to pursue a more advanced music education in the capital city, Santiago.
I have since moved abroad to Australia at the age of 18, where I have been privileged to study under exceptional faculty at The University of Melbourne, and work personally with the internationally recongised pianist and pedagogue Coady Green. Here, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians across all instrumental areas, participate in masterclasses with world-renowned musicians such as Ian Holtham, Jerry Wong, Leslie Howard, and perform in prestigious venues across Melbourne.
Before moving to Australia, I achieved significant success in various piano competitions in Chile. My dedication and hard work were recognized when I won several national competitions, such as 2nd prize in the Radio Beethoven´s Piano Competiton for Young Pianists.
I am currently in my third year at The University of Melbourne, which is the final year of my Bachelor of Music degree. I am in the Performance stream, which allows me to work with some of Australia´s best pianists and pedagogues. I am also involved in many extra-curricular concerts and music activities, and one of my most exciting projects is working with my teacher Coady Green to perform Ludwig Van Beethoven´s 9 Symphonies, transcribed into an incredibly virtuosic piece for piano duet by Carl Czerny, to help raise funds for my Honours year at the Conservatorium.
As an immigrant in Australia, there are significant financial challenges associated with continuing my education. The Honours year alone costs $35,000, and pursuing a Master's degree will amount to $75,000. Any donation helps me to afford my education, and show my unique culture and music to Australia.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your generosity will help me achieve my dream of becoming a professional pianist and sharing the beauty of music with the world.
Warm regards,
