Hello everyone,
Tio, Uncle, Father, Grandfather Little Brother Ricardo Luna passed away sudden & unexpectedly in Southern California just before the beginning of the new year, a couple weeks after his 63rd young birthday.
Ricardo preceds in death & reunited with his wife Ramona Juarez Loza, survived by his children & grandchildren his eldest daughter Edith Luna Andrade, her husband Luis Andrade. Youngest daughter Brenda Luna her sons William & Giovanni. His eldest son Richard Luna his wife Elida and daughters Leilani & Grace. His youngest son Jose Richard Luna and Ricardo's older siblings Juan, Licha, Guadalupe, his younger sister Marisela.
Anyone who knew Ricardo, knew his love for music and cars (real, model or toy), although he loved all instruments his passion was the acoustic guitar, he was a master plumber by trait & took pride in his clean & precise work but enjoyed helping out family & friends with their home projects & repairs. Although a hard worker since childhood he always found time to play a few strings on any guitar that he would come across, he could often be found playing his guitar around a fire or the kitchen table as the family cooked, laughed told stories such as when making tamales around Christmas time, this was often a family tradition to hear the beautiful melody of "Tio". This birthday he could not wait to finally take a mini getaway to visit family & lifelong childhood friends, so needless to say he was excited when he finally was able to take a break to get on his journey - a birthday trip to his most favorite place on earth - Mexicali. Although the family hurts for his loss I think I can speak for everyone that we find some peace in knowing he had just returned from his trip and was planning his trip back home where he was eager to get back to teaching his grandchildren the legacy he dreamt of leaving them, a piece of his musical talent in how to master the guitar.
With that said his sudden death leaves a huge void in the lives of many not to exclude his nieces and nephews and their families to whom he was not only an Uncle, a type of Father figure but a friend.
Please join me in donations to help our family provide funeral services to lay Ricardo Luna to rest.
There will be a food drive by Sunday 1/9/21, as well as monetary donations via Venmo @edith-luna or zelle.
Services will be announced as soon as they become available
But are tentatively a memorial/ viewing next T-Thur week of Jan 9th or Jan 16th we will post as soon as we have the information.
Sincerely
The Luna Family
