Hi, my name is Shauna. I believe if there is a way to help someone you should try your best to do so. Little Ricardo is the son of Yanique a young lady I have known for a long time. When I heard of her son’s medical condition I was very saddened and so I felt inclined to help in whatever way I could! Ricardo is now 10 years old and has had difficulties since he was born, so much so that he is always in pain and has to be sent home from school. He has a medical condition called Retroperitoneal cyst (A retroperitoneal cyst is a rare benign cystic tumor that forms within the retroperitoneal space, the area behind the abdominal lining ) . A quick summary of what he needs done, (Laparotomy + resection of cyst and fistulous tract +/- bowel resection and anastomosis) : This is a very costly procedure which his family cannot afford.

I would love for Ricardo to live a normal and fulfilling life, which at the moment he isn’t doing. Going to school for him is very difficult as he is often times teased by fellow students for his condition as sometimes it gets really bad!

Please help me to raise funds for Ricardo. His surgery is scheduled for July 2025. Thank you very much.
