Ricardo Aguilar's Funeral Fund
Donation protected
Ricardo Aguilar, an Army veteran affectionately known to friends and family as Ricky, passed away from his battle with cancer at about 3pm on Monday December 19, 2016. His family is in mourning for him and his loss is deeply felt. Although doctors estimated he had another year to enjoy with his family, his condition deteriorated much more rapidly than orginally expected. His bereaved now face unforeseen funeral expenses in addition to experiencing the loss of a revered family member. If you are able, please consider making a donation toward the total of his funeral expenses. His service and burial is expected to take place in the Riverside National Cemetery; more information will be provided as soon as it becomes available to our family. Please feel free to reach out with any questions via the GoFundMe site. And please know that every individual donation will be met from the bottom of our hearts with inexpressible gratitude.

Rick was an Catholic altar boy, a member of the 509th Infantry, a 101st Airborne paratrooper, and 5th Special Forces Group Green Beret. He was a beloved father and grandfather and he will be sorely missed. RIP
Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret
Silver wings upon their chest
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret
Trained to live off nature's land
Trained in combat, hand-to-hand
Men who fight by night and day
Courage peak from the Green Berets
Silver wings upon their chest
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret
Back at home a young wife waits
Her Green Beret has met his fate
He has died for those oppressed
Leaving her his last request
Put silver wings on my son's chest
Make him one of America's best
He'll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret.
"Now cracks a noble heart.—Good night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!—"
