It seemed like some jerk stealing Rachel's car in the middle of the night and totaling it was going to be the worst thing that's happened in a while...until her arm started to hurt and later her fingers turned blue. Rachel had blood clots in her arm and lungs. She's had a couple of procedures and surgeries and an extended stay in the hospital. She's been incredibly strong and had so much support from all her friends and family. She's already missed a lot of work and it's not totally clear how long she will be unable to work, but one thing is clear: she has a huge community of people behind her.
