Ribbons & Seashells - A short film set in Northern Ireland
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Shabnam and I’m an independent filmmaker based in Northern Ireland.
‘Ribbons & Seashells’ is a short silent film set in the 1930s, about a father and daughter who both struggle to deal with a tremendous grief. The young girl goes on a journey to find colour in a black-and-white-world, both literally and figuratively, finding meaning through the simple but powerful support of her friends.
We will be filming in mid-August, in and around Strangford, which is located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have secured a beautiful cottage on the edge of the lough, which will really help bring this story to life, and have a really talented local cast and crew onboard, including four young children who are excited to start their acting careers.
The film is being partly financed through savings, but we will be relying on donations in order to help pay for location, props, costumes, travel expenses, and to keep everyone fed on all three filming days.
Any amount, no matter how great or small, would be very much appreciated! Anyone who provides a donation will receive a special mention in the film’s credits.
Thank you so much for the support.
