Ria’s Road to Recovery!

On November 26th, just days after her 41st birthday, Ria was admitted to the hospital fighting through a harsh case of Covid-19. Since then, she has been transferred to the ICU under sedation and breathing with the support of a ventilator. She has not only endured the battles of Covid but in result has been fighting through a stroke, pneumonia, a blood transfusion, and more recently will be undergoing a tracheostomy to further help with her breathing. This is a shock to her loved ones who know her to be a lover of fitness and overall a very healthy, extraordinarily resilient single Mom.

My name is Ellie, though some of you may know me as Eileen or simply as Ria’s little sister; a title that I so proudly stand behind. I am writing this on behalf of my sister who is by far one of the most kind, sincere, selfless people I know. Her nurturing presence is unmatched, and her light is contagious. She is an innate leader and the rock of our family. Ria has been someone who willingly comes to anyone’s care in her personal life, as well as in her career as she has been a registered nurse for almost 20 years. Though she is a person who has attained great success in so many aspects of her life, her greatest success is being a single super-mom for her two vivacious kids Gabe and Rosie.

I am asking on behalf of my sister for the financial support of you, our community, to help Ria with bills, childcare expenses, and eventually with the support of her healing because SHE WILL fight through this! We have been so blessed with the outpour of love from you all. We are continuing to pray and keep Ria in our thoughts as she fights through this.
