Hi, my name is Becky Porter and I’m raising money for our lifelong family friend, Jill (Giesler) Welch.

Jill is a retired nurse, mother and grandmother. She has spent her life caring for others and now needs our help.

Jill was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2015. She fought it like a champion and beat it for several years. Unfortunately, Jill’s remission ended in October 2023 when doctors told Jill that the cancer had returned.

Jill’s doctors are optimistic, but her cancer requires a significant course of chemotherapy that Medicare does not cover. Jill’s out of pocket costs are absolutely cost prohibitive. Even with manufacturers’ coupons, Jill’s expected contribution is more than feasibly possible for her to undertake without financial assistance.

Jill has spent her life caring for others, and at this time, she needs help for herself. Jill has been like a member of our family for over 65 years. We love her dearly and just want to help her get through this financial and emotional crisis.

Jill’s oldest son has been living with her sharing household expenses. Unfortunately he had emergency surgery and is very sick with pneumonia. At this time he will be off work for an undetermined amount of time. Please say a prayer for him.

All funds raised will go towards Jill’s chemotherapy drugs and treatments by her doctors and support staff.
