Hi, my name is Elmo, and I’m attempting to raise just over half the funds needed to fix my car so it doesn’t dramatically give up on life.

I bought a car in early 2024 which lasted me a whole four months before a garage mistake sent it into early retirement.

So in came Car number two at the start of 2025 and it's been treating me reasonably well, until now! It’s been politely asking for a new clutch and flywheel for a little while now. But to add insult to injury (1 month before it's MOT) it's now added needing a new EGR valve into the mix!

I commute 60 miles a day, five days a week, which means my car and I spend more time together than I do with most people. Public transport isn’t an option for my work location, so I’m currently surviving on borrowed cars, favours, and optimism.

With total repairs looking at around £1100, this fundraiser is very much a long shot, but if nothing else, it’s worth a try!
