Hello, my name is Pari Goyal! I am a grade 11 student (David Thompson Secondary School, Vancouver) and a National Level Rhythmic Gymnast!

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sport that beautifully combines flexibility, coordination, strength, dance, and apparatus skills. I started this sport when I was four years old and have been training for over 12 years. In 2021, I was a member of the Canadian High-Performance Team Pool and ranked 5th at the Canadian National Championships.

This year, I was invited to join the Canadian National Senior Group to represent the country at international competitions: the World Challenge Cup (25th - 28th August) in Cluj, Romania, followed by a two-week training camp in Bulgaria. This will be followed by the World Championships (15th - 18th September) in Sofia, Bulgaria, which is the first selection for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

For the last two months, I have been training with my team in Toronto for these competitions.

I feel honoured and humbled to be the first South Asian to represent Canada in Rhythmic Gymnastics on the world stage. I now request your support as I embark upon this incredible, transformative journey of learning and resilience!
