Hi - I am raising funds to help two amazingly talented rhythmic gymnasts and their coach from Prahran Rhythmic Gymnastics Specialist Centre, to help cover some of the costs towards competing at the Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG)Junior World Championships this year in July 2023. To be selected by Gymnastics Australia to represent Australia and compete at a World Championships is a marvellous achievement for these Junior International gymnasts.

Miyabi Akiya is our current National Champion at Junior International Level having won the All-Around competition and a further three Championship titles in the Individual apparatus finals for Ball, Clubs and Ribbon. Miyabi has won every All Around National and State Championship that she has competed in since the age of 7. Next year she is hoping to compete for selection to Olympic Games 2024.

Alicia Tan, as one of the youngest gymnasts in her age group and in her 1st year as a Junior International gymnast, is the current National Champion of the Individual apparatus final in Hoop this year. She has been State Champion at the level in which she competed, on numerous occasions since 8 years of age. She was National All-Around Champion at her level in 2022.

Kateryna Logachova has coached two Senior gymnasts who have been selected for Commonwealth Games and multiple world Championships and now 2 junior athletes who have been selected for Junior World Championships.

For each of the gymnasts to compete at these World Championships, their costs are estimated at $11,000.00 each and they receive no other funding support. Given the enormous costs involved in training as an elite Rhythmic gymnast, they will struggle to self-fund competing at these major events. These gymnasts and their coach train upwards of 24 hours a week (before and after school) making many personal sacrifices to attain their goals. Please help us to send these gymnasts and their Coach, to the Junior RG World Championships 2023. All donations, big or small will be very much appreciated and help these gymnasts to continue striving for greatness.
