It has been 11 years since I first started in coffee, and what started simply as a job to get by in college quickly turned into a passion, and eventually I felt working in coffee as my calling. With as many years as it has been, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various aspects of the industry… from barista, to shift supervisor, head roaster, wholesale account management, and even marketing. It’s been an amazing journey filled with lots of joy and excitement, but also discouragement and difficult times. This year I’ve had to find new rhythms, but best of all i’ve learned the unforced rhythms of the Lord’s grace upon my life. 

Earlier this year I was asked to serve coffee at an event. And while I've dreamt of running my own coffee business for a long time, this experience along with affirmation from the Lord was the ignition to the flame which has carried this journey. What started in my tiny kitchen, experimenting with ingredients to come up with a specialty drink for the event, grew into something so much bigger than me. And how much more can come from this dream? 

My dream is to show others that coffee isn’t limited to what they might think, to share my passion for quality coffee, quality ingredients, and quality service. And not only do those things matter to me, but the presentation of this incredible beverage matters just as much. My hope is to introduce you to experiencing coffee on an elevated level, in a sophisticated environment, but most importantly in a place that could be a second home to you. I want to create a space for community, for genuine relationships to be established and to blossom, for your creativity to be sparked, and for you to feel like you can come and just be. Right now, Rhythm is at a place where I am holding pop ups, catering events, and teaching coffee classes. But the ultimate dream is for Rhythm to have its own space where everyone can gather together, and where I can begin roasting once again.

Homeschooling my kids, working, and trying to start a business on my own has been a challenge. But I’ve put my whole heart into this because God has given me an amazing opportunity to be able to, and when God calls you - you go. 

At the root of any company is people. It’s about all of the people… employees, customers, PEOPLE! And this company, this d r e a m, would not be possible without your love and support. I want to personally invite you to come to my first public pop-up on October 22nd, AND on November 10th, i’ll be hosting a launch party to celebrate this journey.

I want to say thank you to everyone for supporting me… those of you who have since day one, and those of you who have just found out about Rhythm. I am expectant of great things, and look forward to seeing where God leads me and this business. I feel a great responsibility to steward its resources well. As I begin this journey, I will continue to pray and ask God to keep my heart in the right place. For one day when we stand before the Lord that’s all that will matter anyway.
