Rhythm Wizard - A Student Short Film

Hi there! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Joe Burke. I'm currently a senior at Emerson College, and I'm fundraising for my BA Capstone film. Throughout my time here, I’ve been experimenting with different visual effects techniques, ranging from 3D animation to VR game design. And now that it’s time to make my capstone film, I saw this as my best opportunity yet!

The movie is called Rhythm Wizard, and it’s about “A tech-illiterate college student who gets trapped in a life-or-death VR Wizard Battle against an AI god.” Using Unreal Engine and an old VR headset, I've developed a budget-conscious method of virtual production that creates real-time digital backdrops that can be implemented ridiculously fast.
