Rhys Jones Community Centre Cic
Donation protected
First of all I just want to say I am not in anyway linked to the family of Rhys or to the centre. My sister lives on the estate where the centre is and my nephew plays football on a Monday night. The centre runs solely from donations and receives no funding! I have spoke to the senior management today and they are aware of this campaign. I am meeting with them tomorrow (Wednesday 26th April) to get their bank details so any funds raised will go straight to the centre to allow them to carry out the work they do in Rhys' memory.
We all know the devastating story of Rhys Jones and how tragically short his life was. No family should ever have to go through what his family have experienced. In memory of Rhys a community centre was opened. It's a place where young children can safely go and have football coaching among other things, there are classes and groups held there for the local community. Unfortunately not many people know this centre is need of funding and donations. Any funds raised would be used in the daily running of the centre and help the centre to remain open to the public. They are also carrying out repairs at the moment after an incident with a flood. They have had some issues just recently and are in the process of carrying out some repair work. My sister and I thought with all the media attention and TV documentary about Rhys' life now might be a good time to support the centre and raise some funds in Rhys' memory. Anything you can give would be so gratefully accepted. I have spoken with the ladies who run the centre and they are supportive of our efforts to raise some funds. If anyone wants to confirm this fundraising effort is for them please search on google for Rhys Jones Community Centre Liverpool and contact Sharon or Karen. Thank you so much for your help.
