Hi, I’m Amber. My daughter Rhylee is a 13 year old Tyler native. She is your typical teenage beauty on the outside, but behind her smile she hides a secret. She has cystic fibrosis. Many of you don’t know what that is & that’s ok; I didn’t know what it was either- until she got diagnosed. It’s a genetic mutation that causes really thick mucus to line your lungs & other organs. We have pills & treatments daily, but they don’t always safeguard her from hospitalization. Her dad signed over his rights when she was a baby, so it’s just us. I hate asking anyone for help, but I feel it’s necessary. She will be in the hospital for 2 weeks. I still have to work to make ends meet, but need help with gas (it’s 2 hours there & 2 hours back), & snacks for her while she’s there. Anything would help & be greatly appreciated.
