Our dear friend Elena has been in the hospital for well over a month and will continue to be treated there for the coming weeks. She has been diagnosed with Lemierre’s syndrome, a rare and serious illness. She’s receiving excellent care at a hospital in Illinois but faces a long recovery ahead and of course hasn’t been able to work during this time.
