Hello everyone! I come to you with some grave news asking for support for a family as they face uncertainty. On Thursday, Aric Ephault suffered a massive stroke and is currently in the ICU at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. The stroke was on the Left side of his brain, which means he doesn’t have use of the right side of his body, or any speech capabilities. Currently, he is experiencing swelling in the brain, and last night spiked a fever. Things are quite uncertain at the moment. He does seem to recognize Brigid, finding comfort in her presence and as many of you can guess, she has been by his side the entire time. This family has been through so much already, I’m not sure how much more they can take. She has been staying in hotels, within walking distance of the hospital, as they do not have a car. As many of you know, they were about to move the family to the EU where Brigid got a job and was supposed to be starting a graduate program. These plans have obviously changed. Brigid has made the decision to start looking for a place down in Philly as she is dedicated and committed fully to Aric’s care and recovery moving forward. In the mean time, she needs help so that she can remain by his side while he is in the ICU. If any of you can help in any way, financially or if someone knows resources that she can take advantage of, or a room within walking distance to the hospital, this will help at least till she is able to come up with some kind of alternative. Of course, prayers are a part of this request.  Brigid and Aric are coming up on their 19th wedding anniversary, Adhan is 19,  Seamus 17, and little Teagan, the apple of his eye, is now 13 years old. The kids are worried about their Dad.
