Raptors….“We’re soarin’, flying, there’s not a star in heaven that we can’t reach!” ~High School Musical
This Go Fund Me account was established because the Ravenwood Performing Arts Center (RPAC) is desperately in need of some updating.
There is no donation too big or too small – collectively we can REACH our goal with your help. RPAC serves as a common ground for all of RHS. We are calling on students, faculty, parents, alumni and the community to join in supporting the efforts to raise a minimum of $40,000 to make the renovations needed to bring RPAC back to life.
The school opened in 2002 and the current sound and lighting systems installed fourteen years ago are still what is used today in the RPAC. As you can imagine in fourteen years there have been many technological advances made in the world of sound and lighting. Alumni from as early as 2010, and classes since have all experienced the sound going out during a performance, wiring that overheats, and a stage that without the proper lighting makes our student productions, athletic signings and other activities held in RPAC, events held in semi-darkness.
“The RPAC is the hub for all school activities, whether it is our academic program, the arts or athletics,” said Ravenwood Principal Dr. Pam Vaden. “By supporting the enhancement of our audio and lighting equipment, every student will benefit.”
We want all our students who use the RPAC to be able to SHINE no matter what the event; therefore we are raising funds to bring our facility up to date with the latest technology.
Below are the specific needs totaling $40,000 worth of renovations and upgrading:
Sound System:
Speakers added to left, center and right of proscenium
Sound Board moved to the Back of RPAC
New Body Microphones for the performers
Lighting System:
Electric lines need lowered
LED Lighting Instruments
New Fixtures to accommodate LED lighting
New Lighting Board, Installation and Set-up
If your donation is over $100, you will be recognized as follows:
*Partner:
$500 - $999: Name listed on Donor wall plaque hanging in RPAC.
*Raptor:
$1,000+: Personalized engraved name plate on RPAC theater seat, name listed on Donor wall plaque hanging in RPAC.
