Roosevelt Teddies March on DC

Teen survivors of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida massacre are calling for a march on Washington to demand action on gun control on March 24, 2018.
A group of passionate students from Roosevelt High School want to send 8 students to the March on Washington. They've already found success in organizing student-led walkouts, but would like to further their voice by attending the March 24th event in Washington, D.C. Many of these students feel very passionately about protecting their peers', as well as their own, safety. In order to participate in the March for Our Lives event in Washington, they will require funding to cover transportation, lodging and food during their weekend-long trip. This would greatly assist in furthering their voice and allowing their message to tighten gun regulations and preserve the safety of their peers to become ever closer to actualization.
Money will be deposited into Sasha Yunginger's bank account. She will then secure airfare for the students. Additional money will be used for lodging and meals. Money left over beyond that will be used to continue the students from Roosevelt's work towards gun reform.
