Help a Family in Crisis: Support Needed

We have two children that have illnesses that require them to go to the UVA Children’s Hospital every few months. We have been going through this for 3 years. Because of Dr appointments and medical requirements and care requirements their mother has only been able to work part time. Recently she lost her job and also had knee surgery about 3 weeks ago. Our central heat and A/C has not worked in over a year and we don’t have the money to have someone come look at it. We use window A/C units in the summer and space heaters in the winter and we need to replace two of those before it gets cold. A few months ago our oven started acting up to where it’s hard to bake anything and a couple days ago our washing machine started acting up. We are behind on everything, mortgage, electric, water bills, and car payment. I’m trying my best to stay a float. I know that if we could just get caught up I believe that we would be ok. I just don’t know what else to do. Always having to see what I can let go till the next month so I can keep a roof over our heads, lights on, food on the table, and a reliable vehicle for trips to the children’s hospital.
